The Ultimate Fighting Championship presents UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III this Saturday night. The preliminary fights will air for free on Facebook and on Spike TV and the main card airs on pay-per-view starting at 9pm/ET. The pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast is headlined by two world title fights.
In the main event, lightweight champion Frankie Edgar wants to finally avenge his only MMA loss in his third fight with Gray Maynard. Edgar lost the first fight, fought to a draw in the second, and looks to finally put his toughest challenge behind him. In the co-main event, Jose Aldo defends his featherweight title against UFC veteran Kenny Florian, who looks to realize his championship dreams.
The full main card on PPV is as follows: Edgar vs. Maynard for the lightweight title, Aldo vs. Florian for the featherweight title, Middleweight bout: Brian Stann vs. Chael Sonnen, Featherweight bout: Nam Phan vs. Leonard Garcia, and Lightweight bout: Melvin Guillard vs. Joe Lauzon.
The Facebook preliminary card is as follows: Middleweight bout: Steve Cantwell vs. Mike Massenzio, Middleweight bout: Aaron Simpson vs. Eric Schafer, Featherweight bout: Zhang Tie Quan vs. Darren Elkins, Heavyweight bout: Joey Beltran vs. Stipe Miocic.

After the fight, we headed back to the Hilton, and that's where I saw Snookie and her boyfriend Gianni -they were there for the Edgar / Maynard fight--- (- boy do they make a cute couple -they're sooo small. They look like the couple on top of a wedding cake.. ; ) We felt bad cuz you could tell he was trying to keep her from being bothered, We figured if those were our kids, we wouldn't want people messing with them so My husband and I stood infront of them so people walking past wouldn't see them. Gianni was nice and spoke to us, but Snookie didn't say a word. We escorted them to their car .
Overall, FANTASTIC weekend!!!!
This movie is a box office Sleeper. As the word gets around, people will kidnap their neighbor's kids just to get the full benefit of the movie. This movie has great acting by Hugh Jackman and the others in the film. It has tragic comedic elements just like Shakespear utilized in his great plays. It rises above the normal hollywood B class movie and excells at what a movie is supposed to deliver. Good solid entertainment with seamless animatronic action scenes and great choreographed boxing moves.
The movie has Sugar Ray Leonard himself as the boxing consultant in the movie as well. So it has authentic boxing moves and says something about the way the boxing sport is degrading in society into a unhuman sport. The inhuman aspect of the sport and its degradation into a soulless exhibit of brutality by robots brings to mind the UFC that is all the rage right
