Will you watch? Oprah Scores First Televised Kardashian Family Interview

Despite creating a slew of original content, OWN has still been
struggling in the ratings over the past couple of months, with Oprah’s
personal and easy interviews coloring the network as one of its only
bright spots on Sunday night. Having a chat with Michael Jackson’s
daughter is a tough act to follow, but Oprah’s network is going to give
it a go when they give the Kardashian clan an in interview in a few
days.



On June 17, Oprah actually has a big night planned featuring two brand new episodes airing in a row. According to Deadline,
the first is the big Kardashian family event, which is actually being
branded as the Kardashian’s “first” televised interview. The network
seems to be hoping for leftover viewers afterward, as Oprah’s Next Chapters’ extra hour will be devoted to an interview with former Formula 50 Vitamin Water Owner 50 Cent.



I think it is a little ridiculous the Kardashian family has never come
together as a family for a televised interview, when all of their lives
are well-documented on the television. One would think E! would have
capitalized on a big group interview years ago. It’s probably
complicated to get them all together for a television interview, and it
is a testament to Oprah’s staying power that OWN was able to procure an
interview before the famous family’s parent network.
