Let the kids have Farmville. Those of us in the 35 (plus) set will now have our own social media playground, Margaritaville Online.
Yes, you've guessed correctly. This is the brainchild of famed singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. And it's every bit as chillaxed as you might imagine.
"The Margaritaville laidback state of mind is inherently social, and THQ has captured the spirit of that lifestyle in this game. With Margaritaville Online, fans across the globe can party together any time and any place," Buffett says.
From developer Exploding Barrel Games, Margaritaville will be available on Facebook and Apple devices. Players can choose to go on adventures, open a resort or start a band. But those wanting the real Buffett concert experience, without having to leave the comfort of their living rooms, can just sit back and listen to Buffett tunes, all the while interacting with many of the colorful characters from Buffett's songs and books.
Distributor THQ will debut Margaritaville Online at the E3 video game convention in Los Angeles next month.
Aloha!

For those who do not wish to participate it is a free internet (for now anyway) and they are free to make the choice not to pay and not to join. I think it's odd we even question this. It's simply a matter of personal choice.reply
