Are you ready for "Family Guy" ... the game?
Soon you can play as one of your favorite characters from Fox's hit animated series. Or you can play as Meg! "Family Guy Online" is currently seeking participants for a closed beta of a new game based around the bizarro world sitcom set in the fictional city of Quahog, R.I.
Not much is known yet about the game, other than it appears to be an MMO (massively multiplayer online). According to its Facebook page, the game is set to debut this fall.
Considering what they get away with on television, imagine how awesomely filthy a "Family Guy" sans censor could be!
The website Computer and Video Games took the plunge and registered, and received a predictably hilarious response:
"Hey you,
So you're in line for the Closed Beta of Family Guy Online. Thanks for signing up. Gotta ask though - did you read the Terms of Use? The Privacy Policy? I mean actually read them? You didn't, did you? You really have no idea what is in there, but you accepted it anyway.
Don't worry about it. It's all pretty standard stuff, except for the part about harvesting your reproductive cells for a top secret government project to make
half-horse half-human super-soldiers.
We're glad you're aboard. Watch for more announcements soon!
Thanks!
