The English version of the movie has just been released. Will you see it?
THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO is the first of a trilogy of novels by the late Swedish writer Stieg Larsson
that have become a worldwide publishing phenomenon. Director Niels
Arden Oplev’s film version, with a box office of $100 million, has
become the biggest grossing European film of 2009. Subsequent European
release of film versions of the other books in the trilogy – THE GIRL
WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE and THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNETS NEST – have
extended the success of the franchise.
From the Swedish trilogy of films (English subtitles).

I loved the Swedish movies, but i think the american remakes will be decent at least.
They could have messed this one up, but i'm pretty sure they didn't.
David Fincher (Who directed Fight Club, The Game, Se7en and Zodiac.) is directing. I don't think i've seen anything by him that i didn't think was outstanding.
Fincher doesn't pull any punches with his films either, he's going to go all out on this and make it worth watching.
Stephen Zaillian (Who wrote the screenplays for Gangs Of New York, American Gangster and Schindlers List) wrote the screenplay, so you just know it's going to be good.
Lisbeth and Mikael are played by Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig respectively.
Daniel is perfect for Mikael, and Rooney is a dangerously underused actor who could really boost her career by playing Lisbeth.
Hey... It could be better than the original trilogy.
As for David Fincher I find his films to be hit and miss with me.
To each their own.
