I've gone to movies with violent crowds before.

But I go in a manner in which I can defend myself, unlike the innocent victims of Colorado.

Our government needs to allow us to defend ourselves.

This is a movie that I have been waiting for for months. I will not let one disaster ruin it. Things happen all the time. Doesnt mean you need to become a hermit

Would you avoid going to school because of the Columbine shootings? No. I won't let one cowardly idiot ruin my recreational activities.

I don't care if the odds of getting attacked are 0.03%... I'm packing a semi-automatic just in case.

Maybe it's me letting him "win" or something. But I feel, not logically of course, that purposely avoiding this movie will be a way to sort of acknowledge the people that were affected. I don't want my next trip to the theater to be tainted by this event, but walking straight into the film associated with it sounds like I'm trying to prove to someone that what they've done doesn't change anything- but it does.

Unless there is some kind of Batman gang, i think it was just that isolated incident. I hope ppl don't bring their kids to the movies after midnight anymore. I thought that was pretty strange.

It's summer, kids out of school. What's strange about that? Strange to be up late with old dad going to watch batman?

Being up late in the house and being up late in a movie theater are 2 diff things. Most wierdos like this one do their dirty deeds in the wee hrs of darkness. I don't think kids should be out and about or in a movie theater at 3 mos old.

I have already seen it and will see it again. The actions of one lunatic don't sway my opinion of the theatre or the movie. It was outstanding!

No, I will not avoid the movie because of the shooting, but I will not see it in the theater. It will be out on Beta or VHS around the Christmas holidays. I'll catch it then.))))

The movie will certainly remind of this horrible drama, but it could have been any movie.
As far as I know, it is a highly appreciated show. Maybe that the theatres ought to remind the public about the tragedy at the beginning - with a minute silence?

I never wanted to see it anyway. Movies are either too violent or too filthy. No wonder young kids all think about killing. Take me back to sanity.

Had not planned to see it until it comes out on DVD, however, an act of violence will not deter me in any way if I had wanted to see it.

I didn't think it was offensive, I just think its ridiculous how the way they pose the question. They make it seem like additional shootings are going to occur when it was minimally tied to the movie itself. The movie isn't provoking people to show up and commit mass murder.

**LET ME GET THIS PART OUT OF THE WAY**
The shooting was un-related to the movie. There is no way the movie could of convinced the shooter to create a massacre, if they only saw the trailers, because this was opening night.
Also: it's unlikely that another shooting is going to happen at the same movie or any time super soon, so don't fret. (p.s. I am sorry for the loss of innocent people at this shooting )
