China's new leaders, set to be unveiled this week at a once-a-decade transition, will soon be handed the keys to the world's second-largest economy. But unlike their predecessors, who embraced growth at all costs to spur the country forward, China's incoming rulers will be tasked with steering the economy toward a more sustainable path.

It'll be no different than our faux elections. New people, same BS.

And sustainable path? Sounds like its time for force-ably aborting 3 year olds now. They already do it to children ready to be born just for being a second or third child. And anyone that protests, they can be crushed by a tank.

This is the real face of China.
olds children ready born child protests crushed tank real china
olds children ready born child protests crushed tank real china

China's only hope is men like this, but if china is willing to run over protesters like the one above, it may be too late for them.

Whenever there are too many people at the top vying for booty, it's time for a cull. It was the same under the old regimes.

Corruption is an integral part of communist system. Root out corruption and the system falls apart. Besides corruption is vital as an excuse to eliminate opposition to leadership. Anyone challenging current leadership can and is accused of corruption while the accusers are corrupt themselves. Hypocrisy is an another vital pillar of communist system.

Are you kidding me? Why should we trust someone that hacks our pentagon, steals our industrial secrets, and building a military designed to defeat ours, I can't help but think about our saber pilots killing chinese pilots over mig alley in the Korean war. So shouldn't we at least look at their track record.

There isn't even a remote chance. All governing entities are corrupt and the more power they possess, the more corrupt they tend to be (Lord Ashton). They might correct a few things (as long as the fixes don't compromise their power in any way) but corruption will not disappear in China or anywhere else.

Just like American politics, China has no interests in ending blatant corruption. It always pays for the politically corrupt and even evil. China has used its muscle and blood to stamp out those who would shine light of the evils of their system. We might even see it here in America soon and blame it on a video!

Possibly. There are now tens of thousands of illegal strikes, illegal protests, riots in industrial cities and rural areas, against low wages, bad working conditions, against pollution, forced evictions of peasants, against corruption. Wages have already gone up, and some Chinese and foreign companies are moving operations to low-wage countries in Asia. There are also growing numbers of independent lawyers, of bloggers etc.
Many Chinese leaders realize that they need to reduce the impact of corruption on society.

ugh... i can't imagine how frustrating your life has been.

but at least you got to partake of the kennedy and MLK years... that must have been up lifting.. for a bit.

perhaps its worse to have a taste of how things could be, only to have the human race retract into the Reagan era of radical conservatism.

we are finally putting that behind us.
