After a disappointing 2010 season, many thought the Cincinnati Bengals franchise was left for dead. With quarterback Carson Palmer demanding a trade and the Bengals ridding themselves of troubled wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, things seemed to get complicated. Head coach Marvin Lewis seemed to be on the outs, but the Bengals' ownership stuck with him and he repaid them -- and the fans, with a team that is now 9-6 in 2011.
The Bengals need to win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday to make the playoffs. They may not get a home game or win their AFC North division, but it's safe to say that they've already exceeded many expectations. The Ravens are a tough opponent for any team, especially a rival, and are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl Championship. Ravens defensive legend Ray Lewis knows what's at stake and set the tone for Sunday's game in an interview with ESPN.com.
"This is a playoff game. The thing is, they're trying to get in and we're already in. We have to go finish what we started, what we've been working on the whole year. We know that we're playing for home-field advantage. We know how big that is, to come play in Baltimore. There is nothing else on our mind."

Chris - The Rowdy One! #187 2011/12/29 22:25:53No+3That is more of a hope than it is a guarantee. I am a Ravens fan so I want them to win but Cincy worries me.

Go Bengals!
After 2010? We have been living the lost decades forever it will seem. Dalton is putting up good numbers as a rookie. At least let us have a little hope. I know almost every other city is pulling for us to lose. Why? I believe if we lose it opens up the possibility of other teams to have a chance to make it. One of the reason our game got moved to 4:00.
