Will the Broncos Miss Tim Tebow?

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas likes quarterback Tim Tebow. They even shared a great moment last season etched in Broncos history. But that doesn't mean Thomas will miss his former teammate.

It can be argued that Tebow helped lead the Broncos to their first playoff appearance and win since 2005 last season. However, many of those clutch performances were him digging the team out of the hole his bad passing skills got them in. With Peyton Manning, the Broncos should be far better. Then again, there's still the concern about Manning's health, but most Broncos fans should see him as a significant upgrade from Tebow.

"It's a business decision," Thomas said. via SportsRadioInterviews.com. "I ain't going to say I was sad because the only thing they remember is that pass. You gotta go back and look at the rest of the games. I wasn't getting no balls and you had to make some of these plays where some players were open and he is not making the throws, but I don't want to talk bad about Tim." But isn't he kind of talking bad about Tim? Do you think Tim Tebow's former team will miss him?

Tebow is mediocre at best, without much prospect of getting better (IMO).

Talk to actual Bronco football fans. Not the ones who just like his pose along with his comebacks from awful play otherwise. They are very happy to see him gone as Manning comes in.

Yes they will...NOT. They canned Jay Cutler and he was the best thing to happen to them since Elway, so I doubt they'll miss him. He was a likable dude but it is what it is. I hope he does well in the future...

nope......not until somebody forgets to pick up a corner or a safety blitz, and some 190lb defender, hits Manning full speed, right between his shoulder blades!! Like Aneas Williams did to Steve Young, thus ending his career !! And Steve had a healthy neck !!

Definitely. Manning is great, but you know all the defensive players will be keying on him--- even without a bonus. I fear he will suffer an injury early in the season. I wish the best for him and Tim. I think Tim will do well in NY even though I like the "Jersey Giants" better than the NY Jets.

financially they won't since they'll get the same amount for his 'jets' jersey sales they got for his broncos jerseys and game wise they won't either since manning can pass the ball. all that hype about manning's neck was hub-bub so the colts wouldn't have a chance at playing at their homefield for the big game, just like how the saints are the scapegoat for the injury bounties since every team has payed their players to do this since the league was formed.

most of the team is glad to see him gone. The Receivers will get someone who can actually throw them the ball and the Defense will not have to play with their backs against the wall any more.

John Elway couldn't get rid of him fast enough. Every good thing Tebow did last year gave John stomach problems, you could see it on his face every time they put the camera on him during Bronco games.

Well let's consider this. The Bronco's sold their own cash cow and star player. Of course they're going to miss him. I think it was fairly stupid they released him in the first place.

Not only miss but they will be haunted by him every time he's on the same field.
He will be the same nemesis that Elway was for so many teams in the AFC on the road to the Super Bowl.
Pat Bowlen will be eating his raccoon coat when Manning goes out for the season and his career well before the end of the year.

if Peyton Manning isn't back to his full rocket-arm self then yeah they will. they expect that he'll be back and be the bomb again but he has to get used to the new recievers and running backs and his o-line is different. he has to really step up a and if he doesn't they will miss Tebow

Indianapolis knows a lot more about Manning's condition and wouldn't have let him go if they seriously thought he had another full season left in him.

untrue. they owed him a $28 million bonus on march 8th . he wouldve gotten the bonus if they kept him on the roster for one more day. they didn't want to pay him because they'd have no money left and they probably dont even have that.

I understand all that but a team doesn't sacrifice their bread & butter that easily.
They could have cut other players or not renewed their contracts.

Although I think Peyton Manning has seen better days and won't be nearly as good playing out-doors in Denver, Tim Tebow's wins were luck and 75% of his playing in games was crap. I like Tim Tebow, but come on...

The fans may miss him but not the team organization. They are a business and a player is the tool for success, but easily replaced. That's why they call it the NFL a player is needed "Not for long".

The moment Manning goes down with a sack-injury, making Caleb Hanie the starter for the rest of the season. When this completely insane personnel maneuvering by Elway, because of Tebow being more popular with Denver than him, goes totally south, and it will, maybe Denver will trade Elway to another team for a true football exec to be named later.

I sure won't. Yes Manning is injury prone, but he is a lot more consistent of a quarterback with a brilliant mind. I believe the Broncos offensive line can get the job done and keep him safe. I'm excited to see how it goes!

Injury prone last year was the first time he missed a game in his career
