TebowMania may have come to an abrupt end on Monday, March 19, 2012, when legendary former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning chose the Denver Broncos as his next football team. At least, that's what sports blogger Eric McErlain confidently states on The Daily Caller.
Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow certainly had a magical run, with the ability (or lack of ability) to not play well for three quarters and step up in the fourth when it matter most. Tebow led the Broncos to an AFC West division title and the playoffs -- for the first time since 2005. However, while TebowMania was able to overcome the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tebow's unconventional throwing motion and inconsistent play help the New England Patriots destroy the Broncos in the divisional round.
Many criticized top Broncos football executive and two-time Super Bowl quarterback John Elway last season for not fully committing to Tebow, but no one can question his latest move now. The bottom line is Manning is going to play for the Broncos and is an all-time great. Tebow had one magical run. Manning's had a magical career.
In fact, according to The Daily Caller, "all indications are that the kid who was on top of the world just a few months ago is up on the trading block, and probably available for no more than a handful of lower-round draft picks. That’s one heck of a tumble to take." It sure is. Do you think Peyton Manning single-handedly killed TebowMania?

Ya know, Saint Louis could use some Tebow.
By signing him they now run the risk of him taking another hit that knocks him out for another season. Obviously, the Colts knew a bit more about his condition and chose not to take the risk.
On the other hand,..... now they have guaranteed one thing,..... they will have to play against Tebow for at least a decade as he will continue to haunt this decision
Oddly enough, hardly any mention has been made of the narcissist, idiot-on-a-stick,... team owner Pat Bowlen, who is rivaled only by Cowgirl's owner Jerry Jones.
I'm sure he had a lot to do with this decision, just like his stupidity in firing Mike Shanahan.
I don't think that Mannning will get the Broncos over the hump. But he's a clear improvement over Tebow.
Erm... well he must have at least gotten WAY more yards per completion right? ... (Tebow: 6.38 Manning: 6.5).
And remember Tebow wasn't even set up in an effective offense for his style of play, every first down they did the same play (except one notable exception against the Steelers), he didn't get any reps in practice the year before, or in the off-season (because of the lock-out), and he was on a team that didn't want him with a coach who didn't believe in him.
I agree, that Peyton Manning, a veteran QB is better than Tebow. I'm just wondering why people aren't willing to give Tebow the time they will give every other QB?
