Seems like everybody is excited about Manny Ramirez' move to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and it appears to be a generally accepted notion that his effect on the club will be positive. After all, what better stage for the irrepressible Manny than Los Angeles? But a few shrewd observers have noted that Manny's numbers this season are very similar to Jason Bay's. Also, without a big bat like Papi's right behind him, pitchers may simply be more inclined to walk him.
But who knows? I'm no fortune teller, but if I had to guess, I think the extra offense will really help, and the Dodgers have a shot at winning the division.
