Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is a first-ballot Pro Basketball Hall of Famer if he retired today -- not that he would retire today or anything. But according to his friend, New York Yankees third baseman Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, Bryant almost came close to calling it quits in the offseason due to constant knee pain.
Bryant has always had a high tolerance for pain, but we wonder how long he can actually keep going. With the Lakers' lack of depth and a new head coach in Mike Brown, the Purple and Gold can't afford to keep Bryant on the bench or even rest him for a game or two when wins are a premium. It's one of the reasons why the Lakers have been actively pursuing trades, even if it means getting rid of long-time championship contributor Pau Gasol for fresher, younger, and higher-scoring players.
Bryant hasn't been happy with the trade rumors, but he's made it abundantly clear he plans on being a Laker for life. Currently, the Clippers are doing better than the cross town rival lakers, but that can all change come playoff time. With their all-star player, the L.A. Lakers may win a playoff series, but can Kobe Bryant's body hold up for another championship run?

I was a life long Lakers fan until Kobe Bryant started playing there.
I hope his Wife takes more than half his stash. She deserves it for staying with this Rapist.
