Justin Bieber showed off his promotional chops this year by tweeting about Carly Rae Jepsen, who is now sitting comfortably at the top of the charts. But Katy Perry fancies herself a star-maker, too. The 27-year-old pop star is launching her own record label soon, and plans to treat her artists better than most. She's all too aware of the financial pitfalls major labels present for budding artists.
Perry told The Hollywood Reporter, "I'm preparing for it now. And when this record label does come to fruition, I'm going to try and avoid the things that take away any fighting chance for an artist to have financial success. As people are coming to me with opportunities, I'm thinking, 'How would I want to be treated?'" Sounds like a pretty sweet business model -- if it works. Do you think Katy Perry's record label will be a success?

+6Even if you hate her she will still be successful for awhile most likely. I dislike her music but she has a huge fan base and she hasn't done anything wacky unlike Nicki Minaj who killed her career the moment she released stupid hoe. She will probably be forgotten one day but not now.

So by using autotune which i can't recall any of her songs that she uses.
But ofcourse by all means please tell me which songs she uses them on? Secondly saying that "I am very musical" means absolutely nothing at all that it only proves that you have a huge inferiority complex!!
Sorry but you failed miserably and i mean miserably. Finally learn what autotunes is before you mention something about something so you can get more thumbs up.
Also you can't claim what is 'real music' and what is not because not everyone likes the same music as you. Lots of people aren't famous for talent eg. Reality stars. people still love them but in Katy perry's case I would disagree people like her for 'her' music rather than her so called 'bling'.
Wanting your favourite Artist more fame is normal but trust me you'd prefer them not to go mainstream, a lot of people are oblivious to their true potential and some artist change their sound to keep they're large fan base.

mind you i can't stand lady gaga though! her lyrics are disgusting! her music style is disgusting, the way she dresses is disgusting, and her so called "charity" is just as bad!
my point being perry does not have an amazing voice, only by autotune is it good imo
I didn't listen to your videos because I didn't have care for them and since when did we start talking about live performances. I like Lady Gaga enough I find her stuff creative BEFORE you bite my head of that's just an opinion of mine. If I wanted to hear them live I would of gone to their concerts which I certainly did not because I truthfully don't listen to mainstream music very much. We all like different things.
I get you think differently, as mention a couple of times this is 'my' opinion what I think. Your free to think of her as you wish.
