Best-selling author J.K. Rowling will forever be synonymous with Harry Potter. Rowling's most famous series of books and characters has made her a multi-millionaire, entrepreneur, and an inspiration to anyone that knows her rags to riches story. After seven Harry Potter books, eight movies, and countless merchandise, Rowling is ready to take the next step in her career.

That next step comes in the form of Rowling's upcoming adult novel titled "The Casual Vacancy." While Rowling had enormous success with Harry Potter in a number of demographics, this will be the first book she will be releasing for a specific age group. According to Rowling, it will be a completely different book from the Potter series, in a whole other world. No Muggles and Wizards in her newest read, kids.

Two million copies of "The Casual Vacancy" will be shipped to U.S. bookstores on September 27. It will also be simultaneously released digitally and in hardcover in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Even if Rowling's newest read is a well-written masterpiece, it may be nearly impossible to match the success of Potter. But that doesn't mean "The Casual Vacancy" won't be successful at all.

Considering her new book is already #7 on Amazon's bestselling list, and it hasn't even been released yet... I should think she'll find success!

She's basically got a free pass with this first one. People will buy it and read it just because of who she is. They want to see what else she can write. I'm including myself in this.

If it's any good, a lot of that will carry over to whatever she does next.

She is a good writer and if she wants to go on writing she will have to adapt her talent to the new stories and writing styles. I beleive she can do it but it might take a few tries to get a real winner.

She's a good writer, so yes, I think she'll do well. I don't think she'll ever write something as infamous as the Harry Potter series again (Though if she does, good for her!), but I still feel that she will do well in her career. Especially since she has a passion for writing.

Does she really need to find success now that she is wealthy beyond her dreams or is she being greedy?

And why is her dress growing roses?

Perhaps she is writing more because she loves to write. Any good writer is that way at least. And so far, she has shown those qualities. That doesn't mean that she doesn't enjoy the money, mind you. I'd be shocked if she didn't. lol.

How is continuing with a job she loves and that has brought her so much success "being greedy"? We should all be so lucky.

If she'd settled down to roll around in her cash and never write again, you'd accuse her of being lazy.

Dammit. This is why I shouldn't be on the internet at 3 in the morning. I got the second part, at least.

In my defense, I've become jaded over the years. Too many people would say that exact same thing and mean it.
