Best-selling author J.K. Rowling will forever be synonymous with Harry Potter. Rowling's most famous series of books and characters has made her a multi-millionaire, entrepreneur, and an inspiration to anyone that knows her rags to riches story. After seven Harry Potter books, eight movies, and countless merchandise, Rowling is ready to take the next step in her career.

That next step comes in the form of Rowling's upcoming adult novel titled "The Casual Vacancy." While Rowling had enormous success with Harry Potter in a number of demographics, this will be the first book she will be releasing for a specific age group. According to Rowling, it will be a completely different book from the Potter series, in a whole other world. No Muggles and Wizards in her newest read, kids.

Two million copies of "The Casual Vacancy" will be shipped to U.S. bookstores on September 27. It will also be simultaneously released digitally and in hardcover in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Even if Rowling's newest read is a well-written masterpiece, it may be nearly impossible to match the success of Potter. But that doesn't mean "The Casual Vacancy" won't be successful at all.

Considering her new book is already #7 on Amazon's bestselling list, and it hasn't even been released yet... I should think she'll find success!

May not be as big of a success but it will be success none the less. Making money selling an original work is a big success.

She'll never live up to it, plus how much money do you need, if i were her I'd retire to a private island, with a butler.

She may do other books but her goals in life must be changed with all the wealth she has. Self driven people will always want to achieve but if I were her I would be thinking how I can help others less fortunate like supporting new authors

She's certainly not doing it for the money at this point. She can write good stories, why not see what else she can dream up?

Good storytelling, usually finds repeated success. As determined by the consumer. Here success will carry over, no matter the outcome moving forward.

Even though I am not a Harry Potter fan, I do believe that if she had the talent to be so successful with Harry Potter, that somewhere in her creative juices she'll have written something else.

I am a real Christian who hasn't lost the ability to think for himself. You are likely part of some brainwashed cult that believes everything your "church" spoon feeds you. I'm done with you.

Her first book for the adult readers will be riding on the Harry Potter coat-tails and be a success. The real test will be in the follow up books.

I think She'll find Success in whatever She does. She's paid Her Dues, has Talent, Education and Ability, She's been through the Slime and Muck of Life and She's survived. She's careful in the limelight, has no scandals and is a GREAT MOTHER!!!!!
