According to various media outlets, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to do a third film in the "Journey to The Center of The Earth" series. Both "Journey" films, include the recently-released sequel, have been highly-profitable. That's good news for film fans of Johnson and great news for Johnson's bank account. But what about professional wrestling fans?
As we have covered here on SodaHead Sports, the man that will always be known as The Rock to millions, is set to make a return to the ring, for his first WWE singles match since 2003. The Rock will be going up against WWE's top full-time star John Cena in a match that is a battle of modern day wrestling legends and two generations of fans. The epic encounter takes place April 1 on WWE's version of the Super Bowl--WrestleMania XXVIII--but The Rock's wrestling future seems unknown after that.
"Rocky" has confirmed that he will be involved with next year's WrestleMania in East Rutherford, NJ, but with him up for a role in "Hercules," as well as his commitments for "G.I. Joe," a "Fast Five" sequel, among other films, wrestling fans may have to accept that one of the all-time greats will probably never come back full-time to the ring. But is that really a bad thing if he'll still be on screen entertaining his fans?

I expect he'll keep coming back for guest appearances. But, I doubt he's going to be doing many house shows or anything like that.
