What has Christina Aguilera accomplished in the last year?

Let's see, she released a critically irrelevant album ("Bionic"), made what Yahoo called the "least awesome video of 2010" ("Not Myself Tonight"), let Cher talk her into a disaster of a movie ("Burlesque"), had about a dozen dirrty photos of herself leaked onto the Internet and dropped her entire summer tour.

And for all her hard work, she gets to sing "The National Anthem" at the Super Bowl this year.

Uh oh.

But let's not forget the one thing that's secured her so much success, despite the sometimes questionable results: her pipes. Bombshells aside, no one can belt quite like Xtina

Now don't get me wrong, she has an amazing voice, but my choir teacher always said that when singing The National Anthem you sing it how it's written. No frilly pop music crap, it's kinda an insult to this country.

Just tuned in - as soon as she started singing I changed the channel.....Ten minutes later I tuned back in and heard an immense warble soon to find out she was still singing the 1 minute song....She sucks.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE HER MUSIC, but she did more than misplace a word. I rewinded it 3 times & she missed an entire line......"O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?" not "what so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last gleaming"

Of course. She will holler and howl up and down musical scales so many times that we won't know what in the hell she is singing.. But, then again.. maybe she'll suprise us.

please watch both videos but I think Regine is nothing but a screamer Christina is a belter and my mother agrees with me on Regine's screaming so if you call me a liar you are also calling my mother a liar and she hears the same thing.

Christina has one of the most awesome voices to come along in decades. Whatever else might be going on in her personal life is not going to affect that beautiful voice because it is natrual talent that comes with little effort. You go girl and show them all how it;s done!

Yeah Christina, "show them how it's done"...forget the lyrics...make up your own...sing the same part over and over again....put in so many runs that melody is almost unrecognizable.

She has a beautiful voice. I'm not into the type of music she sings but there's no denying the fact that she can really sing and I doubt she'll turn it into a pop song. And even if she does put a little originality into it...big deal.
Jimi Hendrix played it on his guitar at Woodstock and it was awesome!Things don't have to be dull to be tasteful.

Hey! Barr is a comedian. When she scratched her crotch and spit,she simply did what every single baseball player in the game does,every time they go to bat. I think the people who signed Barr to that task knew she would do something ludicrous,they just didn't plan on all the crap that came from what was,to some,a fairly funny event............Hire a comedian,get comedy. Simple,huh ?
