Will Blake Lively ever win an Oscar?

Blake? Why do American girls, just lately, all seem to have really manly names? Blake is clearly a man's name! Just like Taylor, or Morgan. I might start a thread on this!

I think that's an excellent idea!

Her body of work should be compared against those who have won in the past.....and I'm sorry, but pay your dues, and continue to work and refine your craft. In a small way, it's like the people who come on here and beg you to rave them so they can get to the top more quickly. Earn it!!
I've seen the cheesecake, but I couldn't tell you a single film she's been in.
People need to differentiate between her looks and her talent. Again, American film pales in comparison to British film because they spend years in old and established acting schools perfecting their craft. There's no comparison. If it ain't happenin' for her, she should reassess and go back to acting class IMO.

The only one I've seen her in (so far) is 'The Town,' and the performance was memorable. I haven't seen Savages yet, but the buzz was pretty positive. Thinking if she keeps taking these kinds of roles, she'll eventually earn it.
