Willow Smith is not the only Smith kid working with her famous papa.

As Willow plans to remake "Annie" with her dad, Will and Jaden Smith are set to play father and son for the second time on the big screen (some of you may have seen "The Pursuit of Happyness") in M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming sci-fi action movie set 1,000 years in the future, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jaden has been signed up for the untitled project for months, but his dad didn't hop on until recently. Will was originally set to produce the flick, but will now be starring in it as well.

Shyamalan released a statement saying, "The chance to make a scary, science-fiction film starring Jaden and Will is my dream project."

The movie will be about a young boy who must navigate his way off of an abandoned planet after crashing his spaceship into it. It was originally going to be called "One Thousand A. E."

Melvin and Mario Van Peebles tried the whole nepotism, father-son Hollywood thing. It failed. Give your kids a break, let them grow up and just be kids.

No M. Knight Shamalama dingdong is attached so if anything I'll be waiting untill dvd for it, I like Will, not so sure about His son though but I'm kinda tired of Will playing the same basic Character.
Unless He can get back into something other than the wise cracking hero It might be one I'll probably miss all together.
There's just some people who play a character type to death, Smith, Cage and Murphy are 3 people who tend to do it and there are just some types that you can only take so much of...
Seriously, it's like a 3 year old discovering something and you love it but then the kid does it a million times and you're like ok yeah I saw it a lot before, you did very well with it but lets move onto something new ok?

As long as He does as well with this as He did with I am Legend, we don't need anymore wise cracking type characters.
Is He good at those roles? You bet he is, we know He can act now we just need to see other roles than the fresh prince in movie format. lol
Agree about His son though.

For one thing, Will Smith should let his kid take a break. Every time we turn around there's a movie with Jaden starring... that tells me Jayden's gotta be working almost nonstop. If that's something Jaden WANTS to do, that's fine, but ya gotta let a kid be a kid every now and then, Smith.

For two, and probably the biggest issue I have with the next movie.... Shyamalan. Seriously. You NEED a break. Your movies haven't been much good since "The Sixth Sense"... how long ago now was that made? I mean I thought "Signs" was a big step down from you, but years later I find that was just the START of your decline! I used to have real confidence in your movies, but now I can't help roll my eyes every time I see YOU behind a movie.
PLEASE, take a two-year vacation or something, maybe that will get your old mojo working again.

Not that I don't like Will and Jaden Smith. They're good actors and all but I just don't like M. Night Shyamalan. His movies are all the same. 70 minutes of crap and then a 10 minute twist near the end.
