Will Amy Adams Make a Good Lois Lane in 'Superman'?

Nope i dont see her as Lois.... Erica durance left some might shoes to fill!! I think Meghan Ory would have been a better choice

Her odd popularity farrrrrr exceeds her talent, which is next to nothing. Acting wise she is not good at all; lookswise, she is downright plain, at BEST. NOTHING like the pretty, smart brunette Lois. An obnoxiously perky, hyperactive woman-child with fake red hair, maybe. Lois? No. Stop letting this girl ruin movies.

You want a good/decent actor and a pert brunette on top of beautiful? Look no further:

Superman should never be allowed onto the screen... should be banned from cinema.

Amy Adams is 36 and Henry Cavill is 27. Lois Lane wasn't a cougar. What about sequels, she'd be in her fourties. Good actress, but too old for Lois Lane.

Don't get me wrong. I think Amy Adams is adorable and talented and all. But, I don't see her as Lois Lane. Besides, I think this girl has been doing a superb job.

Erica Durance is a hard act to follow......she is Lois Lane.

I put no, but the truth is I'm just not sure. She seems to spunky for Lois Lane, too full of pep. Lois Lane is a character that is meant to be rough around the edges while still having a soft spot inside. There is no doubt that she can portray the soft spot inside, but I'm afraid she is just too cute to be rough around the edges. But time will tell if she can own up to the role.

Interestingly enough, this isn't her first role in Superman media. She first played a meteor-freak in Season One of Smallville. She played an overweight girl who started a very gross diet plan. That gross diet plan involved meteor rock (aka kryptonite), and it gave her so strong of a metabolism that she lost all of her weight in two days. Her metabolism was so strong that she had to constantly keep eating. And when that didn't work, she started sucking the fat right out of people.

I did not see the fighter, but I am used to seeing her as a bubbly girl. Like I said, I don't know if she can portray rough-around-the-edges. That aspect of Lois Lane is absolutely vital to the character. It shows she got where she is based on her competitiveness, her toughness, and her persistence. We know that this all comes from being the daughter of a 5-star general. I just don't know if Amy can pull it off. There are three actresses that I felt pulled off the essence of the character. They are Margot Kidder, Dana Delany, and Erica Durance. These women got what it meant to be Lois, and made it believable to be a career-driven woman who acts just like a teenage girl around someone she really likes (I'm talking about Superman).

ONLY ONE LOIS LANE.....

Not so much because of her acting though...rather because I'm sick of Superman Remakes/Reboots.

But I'm probably not going to watch ANOTHER Superman movie.

Megan Fox is just too hot for the role of Lois Lane. Megan Fox is best in a sexy or seductive role. Lois Lane is a professional, career-driven woman. They need someone beautiful, but approachable. Megan Fox is ridiculously hot, but not approachable.

Amy isnt' beautiful BECAUSE she is so approachable, and she is so because she is so painfully ordinary in terms of looks and skill. she is popular with people because they think she looks exactly like one of them off the street and her characters make them think she "seems nice". *eye roll* I'd honestly prefer Megan, as terrible as she is (and she isn't hot either; way too Botoxy and scary-looking, but at least she is striking, especially next to Amy).

She would make a good anything, she is gorgeous I would watch any movie she is in.

I think this film is running on the fact that Smallville is in it's 10th and final season. I really would have liked the Smallville cast to have played in a theater movie, but I think they're doing a great job with season 10 so far anyway.
