After an enormous, extensive search, director Zack Snyder has picked Amy Adams to play Lois Lane in his upcoming "Superman: Man of Steel" reboot.
The "Enchanted" actress has received three Academy Award nominations for supporting actress roles in "Junebug," "Doubt" and last year's "The Fighter." Snyder is hoping to ride her wave of success by placing her alongside Henry Cavill as Superman's leading lady.
Snyder told The Los Angeles Times, "There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."
The director has not revealed what direction he's planning to go with his characters in "Man of Steel," but did note, "What’s important to us is making [Superman] relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe."
"Superman: Man of Steel" is currently scheduled to be released in December 2012.

You want a good/decent actor and a pert brunette on top of beautiful? Look no further:
Interestingly enough, this isn't her first role in Superman media. She first played a meteor-freak in Season One of Smallville. She played an overweight girl who started a very gross diet plan. That gross diet plan involved meteor rock (aka kryptonite), and it gave her so strong of a metabolism that she lost all of her weight in two days. Her metabolism was so strong that she had to constantly keep eating. And when that didn't work, she started sucking the fat right out of people.
Be looking forward to this movie =).
Maybe Halle Berry or Emma Watson
Besides she's my future wife, i know that has nothing to do with the arguement but there it is.
