What makes you think he got away with rape?

He was arrested. An investigation was done. The charges were dropped.

Did he get away with rape? Possibly.

But it's also possible that he was entirely innocent. Or is that thought not allowed to enter into people's minds?

Also, why are you asking about a "celebrity" in this case getting away with rape? He was a 19-year-old redshirt freshman in college at the time.

That means he wasn't a celebrity at the time. Duh.

    It's celebrities in general.

He wasn't a celebrity at the time. He was a freshman in college who nobody had ever heard of yet.

Legally speaking at least, if not real-world speaking, he did not rape anybody. He was arrested but the charges were dropped.

That means he's not guilty. Or does "innocent till proven guilty" not mean anything in America anymore?

We don't know if he did or didn't rape anybody. All we know the charges were dropped. That doesn't make him innocent. For all we know the college could have talk or bullied the girl to drop the charges. We know for a fact it wouldn't be the first time for a college covered up a crime.

He was a 19-year-old unknown freshman in college at the time. How does "money talks" figure into this?

God forbid we actually consider the possibility that he was falsely accused.

Many men ARE falsely accused of rape, you know. Just ask those Duke lacrosse players.

Maybe not but he was still a quarterback for USC at the time, a high profile position, regardless, and it would have been easy for certain officials to look the other way on some things because of this. College quarterbacks have potential, potential to make lots of money, right?, and that means even at this early stage in Sanchez's career, (even being a nobody) he was a possible investment to 'someone' someday down the road and that could of worked to Sanchez's advantage.

I'm not saying he did or he didn't do it, that wasn't the question being asked. Sanchez was a reference point. Look at the question. For that reason I stand by my original answer.
