I don't know about Gandhi, but I do know for a fact that with Mother Theresa, they were simply respecting her final wishes. She was a strong believer, and literally lived her life, doing it all "for Jesus." IF Mother Theresa could literally have everything her way of how the world treats her now, especially those who loves her, we would not even be able to remember literally anything about her, not even her name.

I recall Mother Theresa's funeral being a global event. Ghandi passed away in 1948, very different media at that time. Prinicess Di outdid MJ for send off!

But think, what other royal family member ever had that? Margaret was hardly noticed outside of UK, or Queen Mum, Di was loved world wide! For herself, not because she was ROYALTY. She was loved so much that it shamed the Queen into giving Di a royal funeral, which originally was not going to happen.

If Will or Harry died, we'd see the same hoopla. And probably more.

MJ was a musical genius. But I think that's where his legacy ends.

Yes, there would be the hoopla for Di's offspring. And yes, MJ was a musical genius. but he is deceased, and there is very little left to him. I don't think he was mourned globally as was Di or Theresa.

He is with the Lord now, I hope he rests in peace.

Uh, no. Don't be hatin' on him. Hate on the media, not him. What... did you even watch it? It was really nice. If you don't like him or whatever, just don't watch. No need for any disrespect.

I don't hate him. I appreciate his musical genius. I watched the "memorial" service. But it was much more like a parade of egos. It was like, "I was friends with Michael Jackson!!!!! Aren't I special????????"
