Samuel would make a great one also, but at a time when racism is all over the news people expect motivational speech from minorities. To hear it from an older white guy might be a big deal. Just my opinion

What put Kansas on the map was 'bleeding Kansas' and the debacle between house and senate members Douglas, Butler, Sumner, Brooks, and President Peirce.

The child is like 10-12, the maid stayed there, the kiddo was fully supported and still is, and yes, his wife was some kinda pissed off - that is his private life and, interestingly, he did the right thing by the kiddo and still does. The man messed up and took responsibility for the child. How many kiddos out there have no clue who daddy is and how many are the tax payers supporting because daddy ducked out or has a harem of baby mommas?????
I am not his wife and have no axe to grind with him.

I never stated my opinion on the question itself, only remarked in reply to Jackie's "Who the hell cares - I don't."

I really don't spend time prying into anybody else's private life. I've got my own mini soap operas going on all the time as it is and don't hanker for any more. If Arnie supports his kid and the kid is being raised such that society isn't going to inherit yet another mentally broken byproduct of human misbehavior, I'm all for it.

What goes on in their personal lives, excepting those obvious negative ramifications for the taxpayers, is none of our business, period. But it sure sells a lot of gossip magazines, doesn't it? Too many people go out of their way to make it their business. I guess Freud would have a ball delineating all the root causes for that. I personally would prefer a well-scripted but "made up" soap opera to follow. I don't like the current fascination with the so-called reality shows. I really don't think that, overall, it's very healthy. But, hey, who cares what I think -- besides me, of course.
