It seems like everyone’s riding the nostalgia wave again now that the ‘80s prime time soap “Dallas” has been resurrected as a small screen hit. So it’s not surprising that Paramount Pictures is moving forward with their big screen adaptation of the series “Baywatch.” The writers of the project have already confirmed that there will be roles for the show’s original stars David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. But when it comes to casting they’ve got bigger fish to reel in and fry.

According to reports, producers Ivan Reitman, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson have their sights set on at least one high profile star that they’d like to see join the cast. As of now, Justin Timberlake hasn’t agreed to take on the role of a former Olympic swimmer who’d like to join the elite Baywatch lifeguard team. But he’d certainly be perfect for the role. The 31-year-old pop star-turned-leading man definitely maintains a bathing suit-ready physique. And retro fans of Timberlake’s boy band, ‘N Sync, will be thrilled by the thought of time traveling back to see their teen idol in a classic throw-back TV show send-up.
But there’s also a rumor that another Justin maybe on the “Baywatch” team’s radar. If original cast member Jeremy Jackson has his way, Justin Bieber will run along the sand in his flip flops — taking on the role of Hobie Bunchannon. Bieber already spends enough time baring his tats on the waterfront to have the experience needed for the job. But given he was only seven when the original series went off the air, his fans might not connect to the material as well as Timberlake's would. Both Justin’s seem like worthy candidates to appear in the sun-soaked feature. But we have to ask: Who would be a better "Baywatch" babe?
How about some MANLY men?
Ryan Reynolds anyone???
I mean personally I am a fan of the Biebs, but c'mon, really? This is a no brainer. If JB was in this movie it is automatically turned into a movie for children ages 8-13.
