"Last week was a playoff game for us. This week is a playoff game for us. And hopefully we win and get another playoff game after that," says New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck. "After all of the adversity we've gone through this year, I think we're poised to make a run." Tuck spoke to ESPN.com about his team's huge game against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday night.
The stakes are high for these two NFC East division rivals and easy to understand. Whichever team wins that game, wins the division and earns the final playoff spot in the NFC. The winner also hosts their playoff opponents at their home field. But whoever loses, well...they'll be watching the playoffs at home like the millions of other NFL fans.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is nursing an injury to his throwing hand after his team's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend. While the Cowboys are a talented team, momentum isn't on their side. The Giants on the other hand, are coming off of a huge win against the New York Jets. Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been on fire this season, throwing for over 4,000 passing yards.
Both teams know what is on the line Sunday night and you can bet they'll leave it all out on the field. Luckily for the Giants, they'll have the support of thousands of loyal fans at their home field. "I've been quoted many times saying I hate the Dallas Cowboys, and I still do," Tuck said. Most likely, the feelings are mutual on the Cowboys side of things. Cowboys vs. Giants airs Sunday night at 8:20p.m./ET on NBC.

- sabravesfan 2011/12/28 17:34:52 (edited)New York Giants+2The Giants are hot right now, and as far as Dallas, until they get rid of Romo, they are never going to the Super Bowl, Not the material it takes to win it, tries to make too many plays and force those he should not. The team is a bunch of players who don't know the meaning of the word team. Far too many individuals.reply

+2I was the same way, I loved the Cowboys, but everytime they make a mistake Romo has this sh*t eating grin on his smug little face. Emmitt Smith said it best as long as Romo is running the offense, Dallas will never do anything.reply - Patriotic sabrave... 2011/12/29 17:44:21
+2As a long time fan, I have to say Emmitt is right.reply - sabrave... Patriotic 2011/12/29 19:00:53
+1As a longtime fan myself, I've enjoyed 2 teams in my lifetime, the Saints, beings I from Louisiana, and have followed them forever, and the Cowboys, because when the Saints really sucked we had to have a team we could rally behind. You may agree that the Cowboys have a few guys on the field that truly want to win, but there are more that are there for a paycheck. I think if Jerry starts cuttings wages, fining them for mistakes and making them hungry, we may see a Cowboy team of old. Thank you for commentingreply - Patriotic sabrave... 2011/12/29 19:08:45
+1I agree...we need to hold people accountable and make some personnel changes.reply - sabrave... Patriotic 2011/12/29 19:16:51
+2I know Emmitt took a lot of crap for his comment but, since he's made that comment no one has tried to rally the team to win. Brand new, beautiful stadium, and cannot dominate, the Cowboys used to be dominators on the field, If you beat the cowboys it was because you were in a hell of a game and a hell of a fight, you earned that win, not any more, with Romo's smug little smile everytime a mistake is made or hurt every two or three games, might as well make him a coach as much as he wears his baseball cap. The Cowboys and the fans deserve better. Thank you sir for commentingreply - Patriotic sabrave... 2011/12/29 19:45:50
+1LOL! Funny comment about Romo being a coach. That is so true. We need to pick up a veteran and look to the draft for a better quarter back.reply - sabrave... Patriotic 2011/12/29 19:55:05
+1You liked that comment huh, as a true follower of the Cowboys you may not have said it but you probably thought it many times. You are so right about a veteran quarterback and get someone that will carry the team back to true Cowboy greatness.reply - argusdog 2011/12/27 22:24:34New York Giants+4As long as Romo has the ball in his hands in the waning minutes, the G-men will prevail.reply
