Two bitter SEC rivals do battle in the biggest NCAA Football game of the year on Monday night. Louisiana State University takes on Alabama. Tigers vs. Crimson Tide. LSU coach Les Miles vs. Alabama coach Nick Saban. This game is for college football's greatest prize: the BCS Championship. Both coaches and teams are motivated for this one.
"I'd expect it to be big-boy football," Miles said to the media, as per ESPN.com. "When we take the field, we'll be an emotional, fired-up football team. The only team I've told them [the NCAA] not to schedule is the [defending NFL Super Bowl champion] Green Bay Packers." That last quote was meant to be a joke. We think. But Coach Miles is obviously confident in his squad, which already holds a victory over Alabama.
That won't stop Alabama's Coach Saban from believing in his team and feeling confident in their chances of winning. "I would like for them [my players] to focus on the opportunity, not the pressure part," Saban said, "So that they really are zeroed into the mental practice and the things that when they go out there and play, they're going to be confident in doing their job the way they need to do it to have success." The BCS Championship game airs 8:30pm/ET on ESPN.
