Thats nice and all, but you complain about it like it doesn't happen to other teams and its the only reason you lose. And you do it for a team that actually already wins a lot. How many Cups have you had in the last decade, the last two? Theres nothing worse than a sore winner.

Hey, I hate bad officiating too. I rail against it all the time and I've actually been in two arguments with officials during Rams games. St Louis always has the Call in the back of their mind during the 1985 World Series (we should have 12 Titles, not 11).

That said, if you win championships then its poor form to whine about officials. I don't whine about 85 because we have two rings in the past decade.

EVERY team gets screwed by the officials. The Wings aren't special. And I'm sure they've had their share of moments where they benefit from it.

ahem the official that called the Bertuzzi holding that didn't happen was teh SAME Brad Watson that called back the goal a year before....sorry that goes beyond coinidicence and starts going into darker regions...7 men and not ONE official saw it....count for 20 -25 seconds see how long that is

Going off history its been forever in their minds since Montreal has won a Cup. certainly the same for the Leafs. Other teams came in and did great. Players like Gretzky and Lemieux dominated.

It wasn't some secret society plot to piss your ass off. And even if it was they handed you four Cups over the last two decades. meanwhile my team has been handed one.

better teams that need 7 men on the ice?...no conspiracy ok 'splin this one....The Penguins play lousy for so long the team is on the auction block...they barely make the playoffs THEN suddenly everything turns around the Pens are playing while the other teams rack up time in the penalty box..SUDDENLY the Pens win the Cup and SURPRISE they aren't for sale any more..

OH and winning the cup after a drought of 45 plus years is an HISTORICAL Milestone...just not a big enough one for SI
