Kevin Costner and Mel Gibson are neck and neck from what I remember of the Nineties. its hard to pick though... Over all in the Nineties... as now... Nobody really tops Jack Nicholson. And why wasn't Denzel Washington on this list? He is an extraordinary actor. Were you around in the nineties?
Mr. Hanks owned the 90's in film. If he didn't win it, he was nominated. He did films that have become absolute classics. Could you see anyone else as Forrest Gump? The ability to carry off Castaway was unbelievable. The 90's had a LOT of big names, big stars....but they all took a step back from Tom Hanks.
oh it's visually beautiful. It's set in a dyehouse. You see the interminably long swathes of fabric hanging from the roof, blowing in the breeze and Zhang uses them symbolically. quite stunning.
Of the celebs listed, I have to go with Stallone, he's incredible, and his EXPENDABLES 1 & 2 are like a tour deforce of his talents for not only acting, but writting and directing, he's simply awesome. As for lady celebs, I'm sorprised she wasn't listed, I would go with Angelina Jolie.
w/o POLITICAL devotions!
