It was completely awesome. He's easily one of my favorites of the celebrities I've met thus far. He's very polite and personable, very articulate and chatty too.
The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson and I saw but didn't actually meet Sean Connery walking down Princes Street in Edinburgh Scotland about 5 years ago. Oh I forgot I saw Billy Zane and Kelly Brook walking in Regent Street, London (next to Liberty) but that was a few years ago too and I wouldn't approach a celebrity.
I took Sonny Shroyer's groceries to his car back when I was a teenager. If you don't know who he is, he played Enos on the Dukes of Hazard. He was also in a few other films, too. A second time, I met the video vixen from Warrant's "Cherry Pie" video in the Orlando mall. I met her in the book store. She was also in a couple Great White music videos from the 80s. Other than those times, I had Bill Rodgers (the world famous marathon runner) sign a hat for me when I was a kid. I was sad to hear that he passed away.
Anyway, they're just people like you and me. I don't see what the big deal is. I don't get caught up in all the paparazzi crap. If you ask me, it's pretty stupid.
Walter Jones. Future Hall of Fame Offensive Tackle Walter Jones. No BS, but I just happened to meet him on Walter Jones Day. He had just announced his retirement, so the mayor of Seattle declared that Friday "Walter Jones Day". I talked with him for a bit, then left him to his party. He was very cool.
