On Friday, news broke that the Los Angeles Lakers fired head coach Mike Brown after the team's disappointing 1-4 start to the NBA season. Under Brown, the Lakers were bounced in five games by the Oklahoma City Thunder in last postseason's Western Conference Semifinals. The team also didn't start off on the right foot at all during the preseason, going winless for the first time in franchise history with an 0-8 record.
Assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff will take over Brown's duties--for now. The search is officially on for a new head coach to take what many have called a "super team" to the NBA Finals and a championship. The Lakers assembled a team of past and present All-Stars in Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, Steve Nash, and the biggest acquisition of the offseason, Dwight Howard.

Brown did have huge shoes to fill in LA, as his predecessor was Phil Jackson, with 11 championship rings as a head coach to his credit. According to ESPN, Jackson, despite leaving basketball a couple years ago, could return to the Lakers. Other names being discussed are former Knicks and Suns head coach Mike D'Antoni, the legendary Jerry Sloan, formerly of the Utah Jazz, and former Lakers assistant coach Brian Shaw, who is currently on the Indiana Pacers' staff.

I think they should hire this guy....
I mean afterall...as he says himself...
“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.”
I'm sure he thinks he's a better basketball coach than all basketball coaches EVER...
and if he coaches as well as he's run this country....THEY'LL SUCK FOR A LONG TIME !!
Is it snowing where you are? Sure turned super cold here
It's not snowing yet but it sure is cold!!!
