  2. Victoria Beckham

    Victoria Beckham

Posh Spice made a surprisingly warm and charming "Idol" guest judge, and she'd provide some necessary eye candy in the absence of Jennifer.

  3. Kanye West

    Kanye West

The latest crop of judges has been criticized for being "too nice" -- and we all know Kanye doesn't fall into that category.

  4. Taylor Swift

    Taylor Swift

How hilarious would it be to have Swift and Kanye on the same panel? Swift is funny, talented and appeals to a younger demographic -- but she probably doesn't need the money badly enough to do it.

  5. Perez Hilton

    Perez Hilton

The catty gossip blogger made no secret of his desire to be an "X Factor" judge -- and again, he could help with the "too nice" problem.

  6. Katy Perry

    Katy Perry

She's funny, sexy and talented -- and she seems to want to be on TV. "Idol" would be lucky to have her!

  7. Kelly Clarkson

    Kelly Clarkson

She's the first "Idol" winner and one of its biggest stars, and she isn't afraid to speak her mind. Kelly, we'd tune in to watch you!

  8. Carrie Underwood

    Carrie Underwood

Who's more all-American than season four winner Carrie Underwood? "Idol" has a lot of country fans, and she certainly delivers in the eye-candy department, too.

Say it isn't so, J-Lo! Jennifer Lopez isn't planning to return to "American Idol," E! News reports, even though Fox is trying their best to keep her. So who might join the judges' panel in her place? Glam rocker and season eight runner-up Adam Lambert.

"They have been talking about Adam for over a month," a source tells E!. "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him."

Indeed, we DO love Adam, and we still think he was robbed when Kris Allen beat him back in 2009. But in the absence of Simon Cowell, J-Lo has become the "star" of the show, and her A-list appeal won't be easily replaced.

But wait -- there's more bad news! E! reports that Randy Jackson "may well not be part of the new line up," and a Steven Tyler source says his "Idol" future is "up in the air." From Lambert to Perez Hilton to Katy Perry, click through our slideshow and let us know: Who should replace Jennifer Lopez on 'Idol'?

Adam, Kelly, and Carrie would be great because they've DONE AMERICAN IDOL AND CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CONTESTANTS ARE GOING THROUGH CAUSE THEY'VE BEEN THERE. Adam is talented and young so he knows what music is cool now plus he's a relevant now because he's making his bread and butter churning out hits right now and he's not someone living on past success (Steven Tyler, for example) or other talents (J-Lo, for example her music lives off her looks and dance skills more than her singing ability). Also if Lambert were on AI as a judge I definately watch again beyond the auditions (this upcoming year cuz of the tragedy of Phillip Phillips beating the more talented Jessica Sanchez has currently got me soured on American Idol) so AI make it happen!

I never said all of the replacements had to be former American Idol contestants. One of them could replace J-Lo while the other spot (Steven Tyler's) could be filled with a music legend like Bon Jovi, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Cyndi Lapauer, etc. Randy's spot (if he ever decided to leave/he was forced out) should be filled with someone who gives more critiques and technical judging but is less harsh than Simon Cowell was but just as honest.

If J-Lo doesn't return to idol, I vote for Carrie Underwood. But it just won't be the same without Jennifer Lopez. The sincerity, experience, and empathy she shares with the contestants (and us) are compelling reasons to watch every week.

I really don't like Adam Lambert at all. But then again I would never watch American idol so it doesn't concern me at all. Kelly Clarkson would be a good choice I think though.

How can you not like Adam Lambert if you know nothing about it. Is there some other reason that you may be ashamed of?

I dislike his music. I have heard it on the radio you realize. I don't have anything against him as a person. But thank you for ignorantly implying that I'm a homophobe.

...because, Adam Lambert is still rather new to the national music scene, is very charismatic, has a good sense of what types of music "young," america really likes, dances and work out to, and will purchase. However, most importantly, like a Jennifer Lopez, he's not just talking a music from an "arm-chair," Oh I'm famous standpoint, he lives it, has paid some dues to do it, he actually does for a living now...not back in the day, or 20 years ago,, he performs it, and is very very good at commanding a stage and american audiences demand he perform his music or songs for them ... because he also looks very good doing his thing and could be a gay Elvis(?)!.

You're right, "America didn't care". And therein lies the PROBLEM with America, today. They don't care. They have been brainwashed to believe that they are UNworthy to judge, and therefore they don't. Political correctness seems a lot easier and they have forgotten that protecting the innocence of children is not their responsibility. Priests and coaches, or boy scout leaders and whomever else, it's okay, just do your thing with little boys and if you get caught, you can either buy your way out; lie your way out, or maybe you can strike a deal for some "help" from our mental health professionals. Yep, you're right, America really don't care! After all, homosexuality, whether it's with consenting adults or manipulating little boys, it's all "NORMAL" behavior and soon with Obama and Harry Reid, and a few other sickos, all homos will be able to marry and just have a good old time. But rest assured, the war has begun!

What they were meant to judge him being gay??? its no ones business but his own....
you do know that most child molesters are straight males right???...
they should be able to marry if you have a problem with them dont be gay or get married to a guy...im not insecure so i dont have a problem......
  • Chuck art1ej 2012/07/15 00:47:39
    Chuck
Well, hooray for you! YOU don't have a problem ! Ha. The fact of the matter is; homosexuality IS a mental illness, an abnormal physical attraction for the same sex and THEY want to be accepted as normal so badly that they have twisted the 'PROBLEM" aspect around and are claiming the straight people are the ones with the problem and YOU are stupid enough to fall for that crap. NO I don't agree that straight people produce more child molesters; that is pure nonsense. Was coach Sandusky of Penn St. considered "straight"? Is all those Catholic Priests considered, "straight"? And they are all child molesters. Be it little boys or little girls. Homosexuals are PREDATORS just like any other child molester. They are mentally confused and need treatment, whether you agree with that or not.
