complete agreement, except i reversed the top two. I prefer Kilmer's character; Bale was just in a much better movie.

Bale hands down....he brings the dark side to batman that the comic books intended. Keaton was great but just a little small to actually be feared.

Michael Keaton of course. TO many movie producers want to put a vicious spin on the comic book hero's of my day(61yrs old) and I know some will call me old fashion but these comic book hero's were meant to be just that HERO'S.Not dark and verging on evil or crazed killing JOKERS.Just plain old hero's and villains at a time in our country when kids had little else but a comic book HERO.

I'll go with Christian Bale, but I wish he didn't do the voice like he's whispering or has laryngitis when he is batman. He does better as Bruce Wayne I think...

All had great features to play Batman. I think George Clooney and Christian Bale have th better Bruce Wayne face, but in that suit its a tie between Micheal Keaton and Val Kilmer. Adam West was great for his time.

I like the batman decipted in the comics ,because there are many things you can do in a comic that wouldn't work for a real life film or t.v show.

Kevin Conroy wenches! Like he said in this episode: "I AM BATMAN!"

He'll always be the best, because his voice just IS Batman's. I'd love to see him pack on some muscle and do Batman.

Conroy aside, I'm stuck between Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, and Adam West. I loved Adam West's camp, Michael Keaton was the first "dark" Batman, but he was kind of short for the part. Christian Bale's really good at it, but I don't like some of the updates...like the Batmobile.

Still, Kevin Conroy's my number one Batman. Short as it may be, his rendition of Am I Blue? gives me goosebumps.

Loved the latest Batman film by far above all others. (Had to avert my eyes a few time though); It's still open...gotta be the longest running new film ever. Unfortunately its a corporate propaganda film (justifying false wars etc.). But I love comics so I loved this film. Well made.

a.) I liked Christian Bale best. He lisps, but he was still sexy.
b.) The best joker in Batman movies was Jack Nicholson. He's meant to play the villain: In real life "villain" is written all over his face.
c.) I haven't seen Heath Ledger's Batman yet, but I'm guessing: "No, he may not have been so great in a Batman's movie (considering his stack of personal problems at that time, including his battle with insomnia). ...I admit he played a great closet-gay in 'Brokeback Mountain', though!

His portrayal--and that of the series in general--was the best. They remembered it was a comic book and did not make it so "dark." Actually, all the character portrayals were better--not so manic, but very compelling. And the T.V. series Batmobile was awesome without being so "commando."
