I don't like every metal song I hear, nor every jazz song I hear, etc. That's the trouble with the music industry these days: almost any no-talent idiot can get a recording contract, regardless of how bad they suck. You have to be careful not to let the record companies and the media shove garbage down your throat...reply

The problem for me is too much "pop" music is constructed in "hit factories" to appeal to the widest audience possible, which makes it banal and trite, in my opinion. Country music suffers from the same affliction. Rock used to be that way too, to a degree, but then the sixties came along and things got all crazy in the rock industry..... LOLreply
