Karen Carpenter was the best female singer ever. She didn't have the range of Whitney Houston but she had a voice you could listen to all day long.

I think Kate Bush has an amazing voice. So does Bjork. That is a tough choice for me. Now for plain hottness and belly dancing it it is Shakira. Boy would I like to do stuff with her.

None of these singers come on my radar. They have tinkly little voices and they can dance a bit. But they have no vocal power, have no issues, and can't perform without two batteries of majorettes to pad out their performance. I nominated Nina Hagen who actually did something.
