  As long as they're made of flesh and blood, they're real. Otherwise, the idea of what is "real rock" is subjective. For instance, I find Black Veil Brides, Evanescence and A Day to Remember to be complete jokes as bands. Does that make them fake rock?
  
  Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple are among the worst bands you've heard? Now THAT is laughable.

  umm, I like all of those (most of)... but I like newer bands too, like:
  Shinedown, Soundgarden, Shaman's Harvest, Disturbed, Alter Bridge, Seether... etc, etc.
  Taddy Porter, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, Aranda, Shaman's Harvest... (OK, so those aren't quite "Heavy Metal/Hard Rock" but close enough to RULE!!!
