It is a crime that is not on this list, the king of rock n roll Elvis Presley Kurt Cobain ... just made a record, as may be there? shame on his career because he drugged and suicide for lack of personality ... that Elvis lack of knowledge and inspired all these is the greatest artist of all time, but no matter this ridiculous list king never ceased to be the King!

As much as I want to say Chris Cornell...I'm going with Layne Staley. His vocals on Love Hate Love, you can't beat that. A close second for me would also be Maynard James Keenan, you can't slight his voice.

    Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury by a long shot. Reason being he had the most musical diversity in his singing, most of the other vocalist stuck with their own genre, while Freddie jumped from Hard Rock, to Opera, to Gospel, to Jazz and eventually even Disco. Freddie has one of the most soothing and easy to hear voices in musical history, and not only that, but the passion he has for every song he sang is unrivaled. LONG LIVE QUEEN.

actually he had pure class and was probably hard to fit him into some kind of genre like ry cooder as a guitarist

I agree with everything you say bout Freddy he as great and deserves to be at or near the top of every Vocals List, got to see him twice when I was younger. But Meat Loaf did a those things too. He put so much into his shows he actually had to stop as they were taking to much out of him.

First time I have seen anyone mention Brad Delp What a Loss, he deserves to be in the top 10 you forgot MeatLoaf though he too had an amazing voice, Perry was a great pick too I don't see how some of these even made it on the top ten list about half don't belong
