Again, an odd pairing. But yeah, Thor... Superman is just too... good... too perfect, not enough flaws or weaknesses. Plus Thor is HOT! Thor

Thor is actually equally as strong and invincible as Superman, he's immortal (can never really die) his strength is strong enough to effortlessly resist the weight of 8 suns, he can survive being burnt by heat 1000 times hotter than the sun as well as being crushed by 20 planets, with Odinforce he can amplify his powers limitlessly to the extent where he can destroy a multiverse with an explosion, his father was already a universal buster and Thor at one point surpassed him. He has more powers than Superman, he can create fiery explosions, manipulate watery liquid as well as weather, use magical attacks and of course his signature move..THUNDER!

What I like about Superman is that he doesn't kill people, Thor has been said to have killed billions of billions of evil beings with Odin in his uninmaginably long life which in some versions to have spanned for billions of years.

Oh, you thought I meant good as in physically? No.. I meant good as in his entire being.. his personality, for me that much goodness, perfection, is boring.

What you like about Superman, is what I don't.

I like Thor's personality. I like that it is flawed. I like his arrogance, I like that he isn't perfect.

Superman was the very first comic book hero. All others are just imitators.

Actually Thor came wayyyy before Superman, the character was a figure of norse legends long (thousands of years) before Superman ever existed, but he wasn't portrayed as a comic book hero till Marvel decided include him.

So...there was a Thor comic circulating prior to 1938? Um no.
    Superman Logo
BTW Superman was based on the Messiah of the Jewish and Christian faiths. So if we're going to play the religious card that goes back to around 5,000 years ago.
  • Tobi bodaish... 2012/08/04 06:58:10
    Tobi
I never said that a Thor comic was established prior to 1938, Thor the character was established thousands of years ago before Marvel even included him as one of their superheroes.

No, but I did say that Superman was the first Comic Book Hero.
Jean Luc Picard Are you serious
  • Tobi bodaish... 2012/08/04 08:01:37
    Tobi
But didn't you imply that Thor was a imitator of Superman??? yes of course Superman is the first one who had a comic but Thor of the norse legends existed long before Superman and of course Marvel's depiction of Thor would imitate and be loosely based on THOR than Superman.

They are practically the same character.
