They didn't do that for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and several others I can think of who REALLY did majorly influence the music industry, so WHY should they start doing it now? I still want to know what is going to happen to that stupid Governor who ordered flags be flown at half staff - I found out he does not have the right to do that. Whitney was a superstar loved by many and as a fan I am very grateful that her
family aired her funeral to share with all those who love her.
I believe she would have wanted it that way. It was a blessing to all her fans.
I watched the entire funeral and I loved it and appreciated it.

I watched a lot of it, and thought it was very beautiful, warm and touching. It was a honor that we were allowed to watch if we chose to.

Like they said on TV after, "Whitney's Mother took a whole lot of people to church today". And she did!

If that's how her family wanted it to be. I'm sure they did it for her fans. (And as for our fallen troops, it would be nice to see their services on TV or live streamed as well) One really doesn't take away from the other in my view....Cuz it really comes down to the family of the person who has passed on. But the networks & sites know that fans of a pop star will watch.

I just hope her family is doing well! And everyone should be celebrated!! Everyone matters...

WH was an entertainer & a good entertainer at that & nothing more.

To fly flags at half staff in her honor, a drug addict, is a discredit to all veterans that have served or sacrificed their lives.

This just goes to shows how the far left has dragged down this great nation into the gutter & will continue to do so.

I, a veteran, am outraged & so should every vet that has has served honorably. This dilutes the meaning of God, family, honor, duty & sacrifice.

She is no role model for teens. She wasn't even a role model for her own kid.

No, because I don't care and no one, outside of her friends and family, should. She was a goddamn pop musician! Not Nikola Tesla for millions to mourn her passing. I doubt she had an invention contained her fiber she could have produced if she lived one more year.

Yes. I believe it should be. She would have wanted it to be. She had a strong love of God; allowing others to hear her music. Yes. It "is" a bit long and I say "is" because it started at 12:15; it's 3:26 now. It hasn't ended. But, it was a very uplifting funeral.

It was her mother's wish to allow a camera so the world could particpate. Her mother chose to keep Whitney's funeral small, which is what they did.
