It's only been three months since pop singer Whitney Houston's untimely death, and her family is already getting a reality show out of it. According to The New York Daily News, "The Houston Family Chronicles" has been picked up by Lifetime, and will feature Houston's sister-in-law (Pat), daughter (Bobbi Kristina), mother (Cissy), cousin (Dionne Warwick), as well as gospel singer CeCe Winans.

Details are scarce, but the show will reportedly center around Pat, who managed Whitney in her life and is also helping take care of Bobbi Kristina. Lifetime has already ordered ten episodes, and will start airing them before the year is up. Pat says the show was already in the works before Whitney died, but that her death "certainly affects the direction of the show." Do you think a show revolving around Whitney Houston's family sounds interesting?

No, no, no!!!!! I have zero interest in them capitalizing on the singer's death. Where were they during her life? They did nothing to help her and now they are making money through her fame??? No thanks..

It went on for so long. I have to believe that her family was filled with enablers who knew she was always high, but didn't do enough. People who have addicts in their midst often are blinded. But, obviously I don't know every detail.....it is very sad. That being said, you would think out of respect for Whitney they would refuse to do a realty show.

There are already too many crime, perversion and dysfunctional family shows on TV the way it is. I don't watch TV any more because it is mostly leftwing propaganda and perversion. I only see what is online.

This was a terrible precedent set by Kato Kaelin back in 95 when he got his 15 minutes of fame from somebody dying. This is shameful, but hey, this sells I guess. Also these reality shows are getting out of hand. It seems that anybody who is briefly in the News will pop up on yet another unwatchable show where a camera crew follows them around, filming the mendacity of their lives.

As many Celbrates have hang up, she was battling hers, But She was a great singer and tried to be good mom, but some battles are more then they are prepared for , So she needs credit for tring so hard, WE don't know all the facts and condition of her battles, just that it got the better of her. Dosn't change that she did do good things still.

You have to learn to look beyond people faults, and see their needs. She has put forth a whole lot of inspiration out there. So many people have been blessed by her songs and her words of Art.

Whatever she did with someone else words, she sang it in a way completely to the original, almost making it her own. Whatever one opinion of her, I think she did a great job inspiring many people.
