It's only been three months since pop singer Whitney Houston's untimely death, and her family is already getting a reality show out of it. According to The New York Daily News, "The Houston Family Chronicles" has been picked up by Lifetime, and will feature Houston's sister-in-law (Pat), daughter (Bobbi Kristina), mother (Cissy), cousin (Dionne Warwick), as well as gospel singer CeCe Winans.

Details are scarce, but the show will reportedly center around Pat, who managed Whitney in her life and is also helping take care of Bobbi Kristina. Lifetime has already ordered ten episodes, and will start airing them before the year is up. Pat says the show was already in the works before Whitney died, but that her death "certainly affects the direction of the show." Do you think a show revolving around Whitney Houston's family sounds interesting?

No, no, no!!!!! I have zero interest in them capitalizing on the singer's death. Where were they during her life? They did nothing to help her and now they are making money through her fame??? No thanks..

I had to google Whitney Houston when she died, so I'm not even sure if their would be an entertainment factor in it for me.

I can only assume that you have been living on an Amish farm for the last several decades ! Even when she wasn't on top musically she has been in and out of the Rag mags spotlight so has been on the cover several hundred times.

I am guessing that you didn't get my point. By being on the cover of the rag mags anytime you go to the store, whether you get them or not, you WOULD see her as you are waiting to check out.

Her singing is entertainment value enough. Just listen. Nobody will watch this show. But if she was still alive, she'd be front and center on it!!

I wonder where they will film it? Whitney's house was foreclosed on, her mansion. So, just some family members average house? LOL. No way. They will rent some mansion for this as a front for the real house Whitney lost to back to the damn bank! Drugs sucked her bank acct dry!

The only type of reality TV shows I watch are stuff on the Animal Planet and the Food Network. I wouldn't watch the gossipy trash-tabloid shows if you paid me, I don't care who's relatives of some celebrity they put on! How pathetic, the fact that they'd think of making a TV show about them, AND that anybody would want to watch it!

I like "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" on Food Network. To me tho, that privides a service. Guy shows us cool places to eat if we choose to go. It's not him at his house with his kids etc. Which wouldn't suprise me if they did that actually. He is mega popular. He just won an Emmy for his daytime show "Guys Big Bite". He started on a food competition show himself tho and not that long ago! LOL

It figures that the rest of the family would be trying to cash in on Whitney's death, just like the Jackson's did with MJ. It's disgusting and very inconsiderate and disrespectful. No way would I watch it. Let Whitney rest in peace, and the rest of the family needs to get a life.

No, I find every reality show I've seen, distasteful at the kindest.

Except "1000 ways to die." as a refresher course, every time I expect to see common sense from people. Go Darwin!

I have no interest in watching a show about a money-hungry family cashing in on someone's death.

In all reality she was the star not them. She's dead and it wouldn't be right to make money off of her memory

For their show to be a success, they would have to exhume Whitney and move her around on strings and wires. Nobody especially cares about them or their daily lives. IF you watch this, you have no life to speak of.

Sure I'll watch it, for a minute anyway, not til' the end because reality shows are all phoney, a put on for the camera's. But hell! I watched a little bit of Sarah Palin's reality show, so I know I could give Whitney a little time.
