It's only been three months since pop singer Whitney Houston's untimely death, and her family is already getting a reality show out of it. According to The New York Daily News, "The Houston Family Chronicles" has been picked up by Lifetime, and will feature Houston's sister-in-law (Pat), daughter (Bobbi Kristina), mother (Cissy), cousin (Dionne Warwick), as well as gospel singer CeCe Winans.

Details are scarce, but the show will reportedly center around Pat, who managed Whitney in her life and is also helping take care of Bobbi Kristina. Lifetime has already ordered ten episodes, and will start airing them before the year is up. Pat says the show was already in the works before Whitney died, but that her death "certainly affects the direction of the show." Do you think a show revolving around Whitney Houston's family sounds interesting?

No, no, no!!!!! I have zero interest in them capitalizing on the singer's death. Where were they during her life? They did nothing to help her and now they are making money through her fame??? No thanks..

I don't watch so-called reality shows. They're scripted, not "real." It's a bunch of BS.
Boy, people love to make fools of themselves. Anything for those 15 minutes of fame I guess.

This is not a good way to remember her as a singer... I don't care about a singer's life, just their music. The family should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of her death to be on TV. "In the works" before Whitney's death or not, it should be pulled.

Not likely! I admired her talent and her beauty but her life choices were extremely poor. I am no more likely to watch her family than I am Michael Jackson, who followed a slightly different but similar path of destruction.

I think that this is not the best idea but if that is what the family chooses, I suppose some viewers will be interested in watching. In my humble opinion, I believe it will keep the tragic memory of their loved one alive instead of her glorious past as a world class singer and international super star. I would much prefer to remember the Whitney who performed the Star Spangled Banner so beautifully before millions. It is tragic how Houston died and the reality show featuring her family will more than likely focus on those sad memories. I cannot imagine being a part of anything like that as someone who lost a loved one in such an untimely, cruel manner.

The truth is most reality shows are crap. I don't watch reality TV shows, well most of them. How sick of them to captialize on Whitney Houston's death just because she was the one with the money and fame! To me, that is horrible.

I didn't watch her the 1st time around with "Bobeeeeee!!!!!!!!" Heard about it from Kathy Griffin tho. Hilarious bit she used to do but can't do anymore :( . This family must have milked Whitney dry, no wonder she died! Michael Jackson too. GD, one person cannot support their entire extended family forever. Lazy asses, get a real job!
