I am originally from the midwest. I grew up in Ohio.
I lived in a suburb of Cleveland when I was a little girl, (Shaker Hts.) but my uncle had a beautiful farm in the central part of the state and I would spend time there every summer. The people in the midwest, in my opinion, are some of the nicest in the country. So down to earth and friendly. I attribute much of my good, kind, values to growing up in the midwest. If someone new moved into the neighborhood, your neighbors came by with pies and food and we had block parties. Everyone was so friendly. My family would drive us ( my brother, sister and I) all over this country on vacations and it is indeed beautiful. West Virginia I have driven through several times and it is gorgeous, especially in the fall. I miss the changing of the leaves in the fall in Florida. I don't miss the cold of Ohio, but I do miss the seasons. My husband and I drove out to California in the early 70's and I was awestruck by the scenery driving across the country. I envy you being able to live on a farm. Now I live in a little condo, but it's near my kids and grandkids so it all works out.
Whitney was dead before her head went under water. It's an unfortunate situation, but when your time is up, it's up. And it really doesn't matter how we go or die, because fate determines this and not us.
I was always told that we exist on borrowed time to fulfill a purpose and the creator is going to take back what was loan to us and rightfully belong to him in the first place once that purpose has been fulfilled.
