I nearly put a kitchen knife to my own wrists in 1992 and I was hopped up on all kinds of anti-depressants to keep me from killing myself. I'll definitely take 2012, although the music was much better 20 years ago.
I got married in 1992. I was poor but happy. The U.S. was a stronger, happier place. I am still happy today with my wife of 20 years and 3 kids, however, I fear for our country's future.
1992 was a good year, only 12 years old, no worries, and Olimpic Games in Spain.
Anyway, I'll always will choose the one I'm living at the moment, for this year, even if the situation is rough, you can still have hopes, projects, ...., 1992 already finished, you can not do anything about it
Heck I was 10-years younger, not as many wrinkles & the economy was somewhat better. Terrorist were more subdue and the national debt wasnot as poor. The down side was then I was not retired as I am 2012

2012 is full of fear, doubt, hopelessness, despair, longing. All for what the foreboding future holds and trying to hold on to any piece of the past that has any sort of happiness left in it.
