The point of that game is having an organic experience and doing things your own way. To script it out into a movie would be to spit on the hard work of the developers.

Every Metal Gear Solid game.
However, I want each to be directed by a different director.

MGS1 to be some upstart new director that nobody has ever heard of.
2 by David Fincher
3 by Quentin Tarantino
and 4 to be in 2 parts, both directed by Christopher Nolan.

All the more reason to make a newer, better Super Mario Bros. movie.
