My real choice is "Lestat". This has to be the coolest vampire series that I have read. It is also the last one I've read, so I am not familiar with what has arrived since Lestat.
None of these are the best. To really get the best, sexiest vampires there's none better than the Amaranthine series by Jo Nayler. All links to purchase her books are on http://Joleene Nayler.com Be sure and get all her e's in if you're interested in great reads!
While my above comment about exterminating them is a joke, vampirism is based on fact. Human beings DO drink the blood of another human being. There have been killers in the past that executed their victims with their teeth then drank their blood. No small puncture wounds like the movies, however. Didn't you watch "Mad, Mad House" on Sci-Fi?
I am the only vampire left. All my brothers and sisters of the vampire world have been killed, murdered by those terrible people with there wooden stakes. I survive by setting up phony surgery centers that order donated blood. When somebody gets suspicious, I close up shop and move to another city and reopen.
The best vampires are the creation of Anne Rice. Extremely excellent and quality vampires. By far Armand is my favorite. I fell in love with the character in The Vampire Armand. I love what as I perceive as the only true vampires.
Dracula was the husband of Drycleaner; I prefer her at least everything stays clean, also like bats, look like humans, the only thing likes to be upside down.
Seriously though, why aren't lawyers and accountants listed?
I'm going with Dark Ages Vampires, classy. :3
