The superhero flick, which features Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Scarlett Johansson in a skin-tight Black Widow costume, grossed $17.1 million from 10 foreign countries in its first day in theaters on Wednesday, E! Online reports.

In other words, it's rolling out internationally first, and it already set records in Taiwan and New Zealand. It's also getting great reviews, with a 96 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

But there's plenty more where that came from. Experts say "The Dark Knight Rises," the final chapter in Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” trilogy, might be the biggest film of the summer (or even the year) when it hits theaters on July 20.

"Twilight" fans have already marked their calendars: Kristen Stewart is back in another girlie blockbuster, playing Snow White in "Snow White and the Huntsman" on June 1. And Will Smith and summer just go together somehow, so expect cash registers to ring when "Men in Black III" hits theaters on May 25.

    I loved "The Avengers", and I can't wait to see "The Dark Knight Rises", "Snow White...", and "Prometheus", but I absolutely LOVE anything by Pixar! And it makes it even better that the whole family can enjoy it. :)

    I can't wait to see the big film of the Summer and the biggest of the year, The Dark Knight Rises, the final part of Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy.
    I have seen the new trailer and it looks amazing and I believe it will blow its rivals away this year and could become the most successful film of all time. Christopher Nolan is a genius and must be commended for reviving the Batman franchise and making it highly successful.

    prometheus will be phenomenal. it really should be getting more attention. ridley scott pioneered the scifi genre, and he's finally making his long-awaited return. the new trailer looks amazing :)

    I've already seen The Avengers or I would have said that one. Spidey's next on my list, though I'm really looking forward to Brave and Dark Knight also.

    And I'll probably see the other ones too, save Prometheus which I don't know anything about.

    I can't believe all the people wanting to watch The Avengers. Sure, the idea of mashing up a couple series is fun, but come on. It's going to be what every movie like it is going to be like: filled with bad jokes and lots of fire. : |

    The movies that has me pumped up are 'The Avengers' 'Dark Knight Rises' 'Brave' 'Men In Black III' and 'The Amazing Spiderman' Hope they're good! I might try 'Snow White and The Huntsman' but only for Theron and Hemsworth.

    With the possible exception of "Spiderman" & "G.I. Joe", all of these film are going to kick ass.

    After "Avengers", it's going to be "Prometheus" & "Dark Knight" for me.

    My husband and I just went to theTHREE STOOGES movie...we were all alone in the theatre and we left about 20 minutes in....My hubby LOVED the REAL three stooges as a kid and this was very,very dissapointing...a waste

    I am looking forward to "The Dark Knight Rises" with Christian Bale starring as Batman. What makes the movie so special, however, is Anne Hathaway being cast as "Catwoman". Please check out the trailer and you will see a scene where Anne Hathaway (Catwoman) in her sexy mask whispering something sexy into the ear of Bruce Wayne while they are dancing. It was this scene that inspired the title of the film. The rumor is that when they make the sequel, Catwoman will actually stick her tongue into Bruce Wayne's ear. The movie will be entitled "The Dark Knight Comes."
