Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay Thai, kickboxing, taekwondo, karate, judo and other styles.
It is a disciplined sport, but hardly many rules. I also agree with people saying hockey, hockey isn't really supposed to be the contact sport that breaks often enough. Boxing, another disciplined sport, but the idea to win is beat the other guy so he can't get up. MMA is on the list same maybe worse than boxing. Rugby? I don't know, tough question with too many answers. Death Race for real would top the list, and what other games like that do people get involved that have limited publicity. Might not always be people, what about dog fighting? definitely violent! Can't pick just one
boxing or rugby
Boxing because of the fighters who have died in the ring and rugby because they hit each other as hard as American footballers but they don't have the protective clothing!
Chris Eubank vs Michael Watson. Watson was left permantly disabled after this incredible fight for the WBO super-middleweight title in 1991.
I would think feeding a Christian to a lion be an unmatched contest and boring, but if we can go back that far, gladiators fought a violent sport. Maybe a good sport to bring back, 'eh.
hey wait a minute...I got an idea....let's dress all the dudes and dudettes in Congress as gladiators and tell then sort out their issues with a good joust!
the tickets would go long to paying down our national debt which is as of this very day stands at $15,566,570,829,745.94
