I have talked to a number of "SOCCER MOMS". They were good for the most part.
overboard with the insanity ..
Yeah, what a Bitch.
Geez!
You must be a soccer mom if you're getting so offended.
I'm just tired of brats and media s-heads not being appreciative of a mother who cares for the them when there are so many women casting their whelps aside. There are 3rd World moms would sacrifice 20 yrs of their lives to give their children the castoffs we have.
Pageant Moms, I'll give you because they are trying to relive their live through their children, but Soccer Moms are just trying to give their kids the best and they get bagged for it.
"Home alone—What are the effects?
When latch key children are functioning well, we don't hear about them. But we do hear about the one-third of all complaints to child welfare agencies which involve latch key children. We know about the 51% who are doing poorly in school. Most teachers believe that being alone at home is the number one cause of school failure. The afternoon hours are the peak time for juvenile crime. In the last 11 years, juvenile crime has increased 48%. The Carnegie Council on Adolescent Development found that 8th graders who are alone 11 hours a week are twice as likely to abuse drugs as adolescents who are busy after school. The Council also found that teens who have sexual intercourse do it in the afternoon in the home of boys whose parents work. Unsupervised children are more likely to become depressed, smoke cigarettes and marijuana and drink alcohol. They are also more likely to be the victims of crimes. When home alone latch key children generally watch television, eat snacks, play with pets and fight with siblings."

Maybe someone should take it serious instead of just working to buy another car, bigger 3D LCD TV, etc.
Mostly everyone I know who has a soccer mom who is persistently with them all the time, and doing things for them usually have a hard time doing things on their own when they enter adulthood. My mom has always been a working type person. She doesn't clean up after us, make food for us, or join school PTA organizations. So since she hasn't done anything like that for us I can look after myself and cook for myself without my mom.
In the end, its my opinion, sorry to burst your bubble. Good try at persuading me though. :)
Stage/pagent parents come in second...
As a gamer, I despise them. As someone who loves comedy, I despise them.
She spends a fortune on clothes so they are never in the same outfit twice and makes fun of others for not doing the same. Then rants at me cause my daughter doesn't do pageants, even though she is gorgeous.
My kid isn't interested in the dog and pony show.
