Paul Williams of the Tempatations! I always thought he was a better singer than David Rufin.

Had to pick smokey but its impossible to single out one group. The list of great motown groups is endless. The 60's was the best decade of the century. Their will never be another one like it.One thing's for certain,we couldnt have got thru viet nam without motown. There was only one radio station over there and 95% of what they played was Motown. For those trivia buffs the station was AFRTS.(armed forces radio and television station).

    Combat Town

I grew up in the late 50's,early 60's and everyonre was in an accappells group back then. There was great accustics in the front foyer of the projects, thats where theyre singing. Other great places to sing were the subway and the boys locker room. Man Im listening to their harmony and im getting goose bumps. All thats missing is a pint of thunderbird.Whats the word?THUNDERBIRD...Whats the price? THIRTY TWICE. I cant believe its been almost 50 yrs. Where did the time go??? Thanks for the memories...

Ha, ha, ha, yeah, my dad always told me to shop around and he also always said you never leave in your car without a spare and in life it's the same with women, you gotta have a spare in case something goes wrong. Yeah I know but dad was from the old "player" school. I didn't take that last piece of advice. (-:

Though I was born and raised in Motown, I never really cared for vocal groups. I was more into other Michigan talent. Mitch Ryder& the Detroit Wheels, Seger System, Grand Funk, Brownsville Station, Iggy & the Stooges, Noisy Nuge and the Amboy Dukes etc.
