Which of the Following Do You Use Most at Festivals and Concerts?

I don't tend to spend a lot of time on my phone at a festival, it would seem like I was not relishing the opportunities in front of me. I do however log on to Twitter/Facebook on certain days to find out about secret sets, and unannounced things happening. I found out about Radiohead, Pulp and Them Crooked Vultures secret sets at two different festivals on the day. It's a good tool to use during the festival, but don't let it distract from your experience.

none actually....I take pics with iPhone and that's it because I am there to enjoy the concert/festival. :)

Hearing how others have become obsessed with Twitter and wasted their life away tweeting every move and thought, and knowing how obsessive I can be with Social Media, I have avoided Twitter like the plague.

I DEPISE the whole process of trying/competing to buy tickets through TicketMaster and how expensive every step of the process is I don't even bother anymore. Worse if you have to buy them through second sellers.

Why wasn't there a choice for OTHER or NONE OF THE ABOVE? I know of some artists who won't allow cameras or video recorders to be used at their concerts. Besides, the quality of the pictures and videos taken at various venues and then posted on YouTube usually have such terrible quality, they're not worth saving for posterity's sake. Most of today's music festivals have artists and groups suck. You have to sit through a bunch of crapulous bands you don't like before getting to the group(s) you really wanted to see. The festivals in America pretty much suck big ones. The best rock concerts, if you like hard rock and metal, are Rock am Ring in Germany and many other venues in Europe. Monster Magnet and even bands like Metallica, when they go on world tours, play most of their concerts in Europe. None of the music festivals in the U.S. interests me enough to pay to see them.

And what do I use most at concerts and festivals? Well, I usually start out by using weed, then I like to throw in some acid and crystal meth for good measure. Good times...

I can't choose none? I'm there to enjoy the concert... I can check facebook at anytime.

Kind of sad I know lol. I wish I could go but... but I've things to do damn it. If I did watch, I will watch Refused and At the Drive in perform, if anyone, firsthand. Then all the others.

Concert??? What's that? The last I attended was 20 years ago :( BUT if I did go, no, would not be on any social network or whatever the others are called.

I post the pics to facebook, but don't go online at all during a show. Unless it sucks.

NONE. I take pictures and that's it. Why the hell would you be online during an awesome show other than to check in, and you should do that when you're in line, not while watching the show.

I don't use any at a gig otherwise you may as well not be there!! but I mostly use my blog to post images and shizzle afterwards if I have any

I really don't use any of these at a concert because I paid money to be there. If I wanted to be on facebook that badly, I could have stayed home.

I use both twitter && fb but I use twitter more when I go 2 a concert.

Actually, I'm lying. I don't use any social media at a festival. I'm there for the music, so I'm not going to waste a bunch of time on an electric device when I should be soaking up the experience. I'll blawg about it later.

What do you mean by "using" these websites at concerts and festivals? I mean, why go in the first place, if you're not there to party and enjoy the show?
